Patrick Marty, Vice President - Operations -- Prior to joining the team in March 1999, Mr. Marty earned his large-scale leadership and project management experience both as an Army field artillery officer -- where he managed millions of dollars in operational and training resources -- and as an editor and Internet publisher at two Fortune 500 media companies. He also holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern University. Mr. Marty supervises financial and budgetary matters; manages marketing, business development and corporate relations; oversees equipment procurement and maintenance, and administrates IT systems, EEO programs and human resources.
Jean Moore, Corporate Secretary -- Ms. Moore has worked at Gibbons Construction since 1976, and has served as administrative aide to the Gibbons family since 1986. She assists in all day-to-day operations, manages accounts receivable and supervises accounts payable to maintain proper cash flow. She is also responsible for all insurance policies and issues, individual and corporate.
Luke Aderhold, Construction Estimator/Project Manager -- Since 1971 Mr. Aderhold has worked in all facets of the construction industry: as a laborer, draftsman, purchaser and analyst. He re-joined Gibbons Construction as estimator in 1986. His day-to-day duties include the estimation of company and sub-contracted materials and labor required for projects, as well as the management of all phases of work from project start to completion. Mr. Aderhold's recently completed projects include the Rt. 15 Pennsylvania Welcome Center, the $1.4 million Laurel Health System facility in Wellsboro, Alexander Nissan in Muncy and two series of large-scale phased renovations -- one at Benton Foundry and one at the U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building in Williamsport.
Greg Day, Construction Estimator/Project Manager -- Mr. Day has 18 years experience in the industry, more than 15 of them as Estimator at Gibbons Construction. Among the large-scale projects he's successfully bid and managed are a $3 million Allenwood Federal Corrections Complex project, a $3 million expansion at Lonza Inc., the $5.5 million Hampton Inn complex in Williamsport and, most recently, the $8.2 million Lycoming College Recreational Center. Mr. Day is a CAD-trained draftsman and is also the company's VP Buildings pre-engineered building manager and salesman.
Eric Engdahl, Construction Superintendent/Project Manager -- Mr. Engdahl is the most senior employee at Gibbons Construction; he joined the company in May 1970, and has since worked at all levels in the field. He has 22 years experience as a superintendent, where he was accountable for all day-to-day jobsite operations and coordination; most recently he completed a third phase of extensive renovations to the U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building in Williamsport, including a new high-tech federal courtroom. He manages multiple projects and client relationships, and he serves as the firm's Safety Officer.
Ed Johns, Construction Superintendent -- Mr. Johns has worked at Gibbons Construction since 1979, and has 20-plus years experience as a superintendent. In 2000, he completed new construction of a 20,000 square-foot A.C. Moore arts-and-crafts supply store at Lycoming Mall, reaching substantial completion in only 90 working days. In 2003 he completed work for PennDOT at their $5.9 million Welcome Center on Rt. 15 in Tioga project -- a true architectural showpiece. He recently began construction on a new soccer facility at the Generations Sports Complex in Muncy that will become the largest air-supported sports structure in North America.
Steve Catherine, Construction Superintendent -- Mr. Catherine started working at Gibbons Construction in 1981 and was promoted to superintendent in 1986. He has served much of this time supervising millions of dollars in projects at Benton Foundry, Inc., and recently completed the third phase of a four-phase project there. A true testament to his craftsmanship and leadership, however, is the $8.2 million Lycoming College Recreational Center, completed in 2004. A noted finish carpenter and "working superintendent," he recently completed a major renovation of the Sycamore Manor assisted-living facility in Williamsport.
Max Thomas, Jr., Construction Superintendent -- A second-generation construction superintendent, Mr. Thomas has more than a decade of supervisory experience at our firm, and has worked at Gibbons Construction since 1986. One recent project he supervised was the $900,000 renovation for Northern State Bank, now Legacy Bank, in Williamsport. Mr. Thomas has a talent for running several projects concurrently, as he has for both Textron Lycoming and LonzaGroup. He just completed the company's fifth major project for Laurel Health System in the last two years, a multi-phased renovation at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Wellsboro.
David Rickard, Construction Superintendent -- The most junior of Gibbons Construction's superintendents, Mr. Rickard joined the team as a lead carpenter in early 2000, and was promoted to Superintendent in 2002. He has previously served in supervisory roles for a competing general contractor, and he also has extensive residential building experience. Mr. Rickard is completing new construction of a branch of Woodlands Bank in Jersey Shore.
